The Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club are pleased to announce the successful resurfacing of 2 tennis courts.
The 2 courts have been completely resurfaced, including a new drainage system, in Grand Lano Synthetic Clay. The Club entrusted Chiltern Sports Contractors to undertake the works, having previously worked with the Club and Chichester District Council last year. Previously this set of courts included 1 doubles and 1 singles court, however, with some clever manoeuvring of fencing, the area is now occupied by 2 full size doubles courts.
Jack Lerwill, Club Manager at CRAFC, said, “The resurfacing works have been a big success, being able to turn the singles court into a doubles court almost feels like the Club has built an extra facility. The new surface will enable more tennis to take place, whatever the weather, which can only be a benefit for our members and the sport. I am also pleased to announce we have started works to resurface our 2 Junior courts at the Club, which will hopefully be completed in the next couple of weeks.”
The Club now has 12 tennis courts in total, 4 synthetic clay courts, 3 porous macadam, 3 astro turf courts and 2 junior courts.
